Teen ESSTM
bossUP! Program
It’s never too early to bossUP! — build yourself and your business at the same time.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Build yourself.
Build your business.
Teen ESSTM is a program designed to introduce teenagers to entrepreneurship. This workbook will help you understand what it means to build a business and a person. Let’s face it, it’s a lot of work growing up. Let us help you build healthy.
Teen ESS™ (Existence, Sustain, Success, Take-Off, Maturity) is a youth entrepreneurship education program designed for students in grades 8–12. What makes it different is our core philosophy:
"Build Yourself AND Build Your Business — Together."
We believe entrepreneurship education must begin with self-awareness. Before students can build businesses, they need to understand their strengths, values, and purpose. This personal foundation becomes their competitive advantage — in business and in life.
"I don't know what I want to do with my life — and school isn't helping me figure it out."
"I have ideas, but I don't know how to turn them into something real."
"I want to make money and build something — but nobody's ever shown me how."
"I feel like entrepreneurship isn't for people like me."
" Teen ESS™ is our flagship youth program — because every young person is already carrying something great. They just need the framework, the tools, and the support to discover it.
What TEEN ESSTM is bult on
Three things every Young
entrepreneur needs.
Know Who You Are
Before building a business, you need a strong sense of self. Teen ESS™ starts with self-awareness — strengths identification, core values, and personal domains of growth — so students build from their best self, not someone else's blueprint.
Understand the Stages
Every business — and every person — moves through five stages: Existence, Sustain, Success, Take-Off, and Maturity. Teen ESS™ maps these stages to both your life and your business so students see exactly where they are and what comes next.
Take Action With a Plan
Ideas without structure stay ideas. Teen ESS™ guides students through building real action plans — using the 3 P's framework (People, Purpose, Process) and 4 essential business systems — so they leave with something concrete, not just inspiration.
Our Proprietary Framework
The G.R.E.A.T.
Journey™
Five phases. One powerful progression from self-discovery to action — developing both the person and the business simultaneously.
Who am I, really?
Self-awareness, strengths identification, and understanding personal domains of growth — professional, mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. Students learn what makes them uniquely them before they build anything else.
Why am I here?
Discovering purpose through lived experience, crafting personal vision and mission statements, and connecting passion to possibility. Students find the "why" that drives everything else.
What can I build?
Understanding what a business really is, exploring 6 business models, and learning the ESS™ stages of business development. Students discover that entrepreneurship takes many forms — and one of them fits them.
How do I build it?
The 3 P's framework (People, Purpose, Process), 4 essential business systems (marketing, operations, technology, human resources), and strategic planning. Students build the structure that turns dreams into executable plans.
Let's go.
Creating action plans, pitch development, case study application, and building accountability. Students don't just learn — they launch. The program closes with confidence, community, and a clear first move.
The ESSTM Stages
Your life and your business
grow together.
Dream it.
What do you want to be when you grow up? It's time to dream. Be creative. Take your dreams and talents and think about how you can live the life you want.
Make it real.
You've got your idea. Now it's time to make it come to life. Identify your offering, your customer, and your plans to sell.
Grow it.
Your business is growing. You need help. Identify where you can bring people in to continue growing your business.
Prove it.
Your business idea has proven its value. How can you make sure your business is thriving with planning, branding, and continued building?
Impact others.
Wow! You made it this far. What can't you do? What more could your business do? How can you continue to build so your building impacts others?
Most programs teach the business and forget about the person. We start with the person — because when students know who they are, what they value, and what they're great at, the business becomes an extension of their best self.
"I don't know what I want to do."
"Entrepreneurship isn't for people like me."
"I have ideas but don't know where to start."
"School doesn't connect to real life."
78% of teens say they want to learn about starting a business — but fewer than 5% of high schools offer dedicated entrepreneurship programs.
"I know my strengths, values, and purpose."
"I see opportunity everywhere I look."
"I have a plan and I know my first three steps."
"Everything I'm learning applies to my future."
"You don't have to be ready. You just have to start."
